Sunglasses are a must-have accessory to protect your eyes from UV rays and guarantee constant protection, especially in the summer when sunlight is stronger. Ultraviolet radiation (wavelength from 10 to 400 nm) is responsible for several pathologies that affect ocular tissues such as cataract, macular degeneration and photokeratisis. These issues can be extremely frustrating and treated with varying degrees of success; however, they can be partially prevented, for example by using sunglasses. If you want your sunglasses to be really efficient and functional, their lenses must include a screening filter, which provides protection from UV rays.
In addition to traditional prescription glasses, La Filottica offers prescription sunglasses to its customers. Before helping you buy a new pair of sunglasses, the highly-qualified and competent staff will perform a comprehensive eye test, allowing you to choose the right lens and frame for your needs.
